West Calgary

The area of West Calgary is located North of Glenmore Reservoir and South of the Transcanada Highway (16th Ave). The area goes as far East as Wildwood, Spruce Cliff, Rosscarrock, Glendale, Glenbrook, Rutland Park, CFB Currie and North Glenmore Park.

Some of Calgary’s most sought after private schools are located in the West Calgary District including Rundle College, Strathcona Tweedsmuir, Webber Academy as well as The Calgary International French School. Consequently the newer areas, particularly on the very West edge of this district offer some of Calgary’s most magnificent housing choices for families wishing to be near these schools.

There are excellent established areas within this district as well such as Wildwood, Glamorgan and Lakeview/Lakeview Village. Transportation is easy with quick access to Glenmore Trail, Crowchild Trail, Sarcee Trail and the new West side LRT for a quick commute to downtown. The West Side Recreation Centre is an incredible multipurpose facility and Westhills Shopping Mall offers extensive shopping choices with restaurants and entertainment options as well.
